In the beams of our quirky craft shop, you will find the Top of the Mill Book Store, where we provide a wide selection of books for all ages, and the works of local authors are always near hand.
Our local Crafter Project showcases a series of inspiring and talented people throughout the year. Each unique crafter is supported in bringing their craft to a retail opportunity. Our shop is popular with those buying for all occasions, birthdays, new babies and of course Christmas.
Stunning Jewellery
Skerries Mills is home to creative studios where some of the pieces you’ll see in the shop are made, so many of the products you can buy here are made on-site. We also support local jewellery creators and you’ll find everything from earrings and necklaces to contemporary bangles, all uniquely crafted by hand. The Craft Shop is the perfect place to come for a thoughtful jewellery gift.
Souvenirs of Dublin
No visitor shop would be complete without some quirky souvenirs to suit smaller budgets. Kids and adults alike love some of the fun and varied mementos, that you can pick up here.
We also have locally crafted pieces, to remind you of your trip to the Craft Shop. We’ve recently added handcrafted wooden keyrings and pens, both are works of local carpenter Paul. Paul worked on replacing one of the Sails on the Great Windmill of Skerries, and used the wood from the earlier sail, or arm of the Windmill, to sculpt these unique souvenirs, a piece of the Windmill, a piece of Skerries.
Books and Gifts for all ages
In the beams of our quirky craft shop, you will find the Top of the Mill Book & Gift Store, where we provide a wide selection of books including beautifully illustrated children’s books, and our stockists of the wonderful Galway Fairytales. The works of local authors are always near hand, from comic creations to local topics and a range of novels. All Editions of Skerries Historical Societies Time & Tide are available.

The Craft Shop stocks a range of textiles, and woodcrafts made predominantly by local specialists with products changing often. We are also known for our amusing nautical collection. So whether you’re picking up a gift for someone or are thinking about adding some new interest to your home, the shop is the just the place to come.

The Craft Shop currently stocks from suppliers including the trusted for quality, Tinnakeenly Leathers, the fun and functional Yarn Vibes, Dublin- based and stylish, Kybalion Jewellery, Almond Design’s much-loved Greeting Cards, and Irelands Eye Knitwear.

Combining history, culture and biodiversity, together with a friendly, welcoming and efficient staff, Skerries Mills is a unique attraction. How delighted I was to walk into the well-stocked craft shop and see my range of Irish Wildlife Coasters take pride of place on display! Although now for sale throughout Ireland, Skerries Mills was the first to show faith in my work and for that I will always be grateful. The coasters and fridge magnets illustrate the wonderful diversity of wildlife all around us. All of the images are photographed in Ireland and printed in Dublin, making them a 100% Irish product, a perfect match for the genuinely special location that is Skerries Mills.
