Skerries

The word Skerries comes from the Danish word skere meaning rocks or a reef, and ey meaning an islet or small island. At the top of the Dublin Coastal Trail, Skerries is a small town with a fishing history and a proud participant in Irelands tidy towns. For past generations of Irish people, Skerries was a much-loved holiday destination, before the development of airports and the popularity of overseas holidays. The Mills are located minutes walk from the main street, the beach, and the Train Station. A visit is ideal for those taking an easy trip from Dublin City, traveling on the M1, or staying close to Dublin Airport.

Fingal

Fingal’s motto ‘Flúirse Talaimh is Mara’ (Rich in Land and Sea) is reflected in Fingal’s equally rich variety of natural amenities, heritage, arts, culture, recreation, and leisure.

Home to around 300,000 Dublin residents, this borough stretches from the Naul across the magnificent Liffey Valley and Phoenix Park.

The Ancient East
