The Watermill Cafe
The Mill Bakery opened in the 1840s, Skerries Mills is proud to still serve delicious freshly baked goods every day, in the Watermill café, which is nestled in the Watermill building and open to the public 7 days a week.
The Watermill Café is renowned for its tempting selection of scones and cakes, tarts and traybakes are our specialty. Each day brings a different cheesecake and there is always a fine apple tart among other luxurious desserts and afternoon tea treats. Spoil yourself with a rock bun or warm scone with cream.
Our visitor’s favourite dishes are stuffed with local ingredients, as we are a member of the Fingal Food Network and The Restaurants Association of Ireland. We have a tasty variety of soups that change daily, the soup of the day is complemented by Skerries Mills famous Homemade Brown Bread.
Enjoy a hearty baked potato, homemade fishcakes, an all-day breakfast, or a flavourful salad. We offer you a wide range of sandwiches, light bites, and kids’ meals. Families find great value in this café which is complemented by many amenities on the doorstep.
Whether you are seeking brunch, lunch, savory snacks, or delicious cakes and cookies, relax and remember we are a community Café with a no-rush charm and warm welcoming atmosphere. Feel free to request outdoor dining, escape to the sunny Willow Terrace overlooking the Community Garden. Sip a glass of wine with your meal, or simply indulge in a hot chocolate or hot tea of your choice.
