Skerries is a small town in North County Dublin, the Mills are located minuets walk from the main street, the beach and the Train Station. A visit is ideal for those taking an easy trip from Dublin City, traveling north on the M1 or staying close to Dublin Airport.
Trains to Skerries Operate from nearby Malahide, From Connolly Station in Dublin City Centre and from Drogheda.
A large Carpark with free parking is located at the Mills.
Skerries is both off the beaten track and less crowed than many coastal towns in the region, yet is convenient for visiting by public transport or car.
FAQ’s
In this heritage site the majority of the tour is not accessible to wheelchair users or prams. The Café and Craft shop are located on the second floor which is accessible by stairs or stair (chair) lift.
Dublin Pass holders can register for tours at Reception on arrival, or contact us when you are on-route at peak times.
Groups of more than 10 are asked to book in advance of arrival.
Schools, Skerries Mills offers a great value educational tour for School Tours, and the theme of sustainable power is relevant to Primary and Secondary. A booking is a great idea for transition years students. All schools should contact Skerries Mills to pre book.

Languages, our tours are enjoyed by people with all levels of English and none, the tour will be delivered in English with some printed information in several languages.
There is no access to the Windmills or Waterwheel without a guide, and the public are not permitted to access the lands around the Windmills without a ticket.
Person’s who require full time care will require a paid ticket, however their care attendant can access a complimentary ticket by booking in at Reception.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks are available in the Watermill Café. Outdoor dinning is also available and wines are available to purchase with meals.
The Crafters in the Artisan Courtyard arrange their hours of opening on a week to week basis and Skerries Mills will not know in advance when each crafter will be open. However crafters generally aim to be open at Peak Times.
Gift Vouchers can be purchased in our Craft Shop, and can be redeemed in the Shop, the Watermill Café or on Tour Tickets.
Family Tickets for our tour include 2 Adults and 2 Children of 17years or younger. The tour is not suitable for toddles and all children must be supervised at all times.
Nearby, Skerries Mills is a short drive from Ardgillian Castle and Park, North Dublin has a number of beautiful beach’s and a diverse range of attractions such as Swords Castle and The Seamus Ennis Centre. There is a public playpark beside the Mills Carpark. Skerries main street and harbour area are a short walk away, as are Skerries beach’s with quality walking routes.

Skerries Mills is open all year except the 17th of March, (St Patrick’s Day) and 6 days over Christmas, which are from 24th to 27th December and 31st December to 1st January inclusive.
Spring/Summer Opening Times (from 1st April to 30th September): 10am – 5.30pm. Last Tour 4.30pm
Autumn/Winter Opening Times (from 1st October to 31st March): 10am – 4.30pm. Last Tour 3.30pm
