One of our own. The M6 Art Exhibition

Skerries Mills Gallery space is currently displaying the works of the M6 Art Group. The exhibition is running from the 28th of July until Sunday the 10th of August 2025, in the Watermill Cafe.

This is a special occasion as the M6 are one of creative groups that meet regularly in Skerries Mills, and are very talanted individuals, who brighten up our Community Cafe weekly.

The Mills Six

The Mills Six, or M6, are a group of local artists who work as collective. They meet every Tuesday in Skerries Mills to share their love of art and creativity.

The group, Roy, Carmel, Eddie, Gladys, Ann and Brian, all knew each other from being in other Art Groups over the years.

During Covid they formed their own group of 6. This meant that they could work together in their own bubble.

They are all well established artists with individual styles who encourage each other with photos, experiences and outdoor scenes for inspirations. As they have been creating art for many years, they don’t have a teacher, instead they use their individuality to create their pieces and inspire each other.

They use acrylic paints to create their pieces. Some of the group prefer landscapes while others prefer portraits.

The Mills Six are very pleased to have their Art Exhibition in the Watermill Café, in Skerries Mills. It will be available to visit and view until 10th August, every day, between 10am and 5pm.
